Passionate about art from a young age, Romain Dorez has a deep love for drawing, painting, and especially the geek universe and pop culture.
After four years of higher education at the Faculty of Arts in Amiens, he carves out his own path and, together with a friend, founds the Comixart collective. His inspiration draws from the cartoons of his childhood, science fiction films, TV series, and comics that he used to copy from a very young age… Contemporary artists also fuel his work, including Speedy Graphito, Jérôme Clem, and Johanne8.
He favors painting to express his ideas and burst with pop colors.
His works convey messages close to his heart, often laced with humor to tackle sometimes obscure themes: sexual freedom, junk food, the psychological impact of social media, and the preservation of the planet… His geek culture characters serve as the medium for his ideas.
